St. Thomas-a-Becket Institute

Our History & Foundation

St. Thomas-a-Becket Institute was originally founded and established by Wesley Synod International, Canterbury, Kent, England, in 1988 as a Private Tertiary Training Institute for Professional Clergies in the Church and Ministries. In 2000, the Institute was established in Africa as a Satellite Campus in Ghana, under the Academic Leadership of HRE Archbishop Dr. Barthsy Ojoi Enebiene GJP, AGPP.
Following the demise of the International President/Lord Chancellor, His Excellency Archbishop Sir Anthony Cowles, in London in 2014, the International Administrative Office was dissolved and the School closed down. However, the African Campus, which had become vibrantly functional, continued in full operational sessions from Ghana.
