St. Thomas-a-Becket Institute (former St. Thomas-a-Becket University College, Canterbury, Kent, England) is an Autonomous Independent Private Tertiary Online Distance Learning Academic Degree Awarding, as well Vocational and Skills Acquisition Training Institution for Certificates and Diploma Awards in Africa.
Originally founded and established by Wesley Synod International, Canterbury, Kent, England in 1988 as a Private Tertiary Training Institute for Professional Clergies in the Church and Ministries, the Institute has continued its academic and professional development journey in Africa.

St. Thomas-a-Becket Institute has continued its academic and professional development in Africa under the academic leadership of HRE, HIRM Archbishop King Professor Dr. Barthys Ojoi Enebiene GJP, AGPP, Aba-Obazi IV.
Under his leadership, the African Campus developed into a vibrant and fully functional academic institution.
In 2016, the Institute was registered in Nigeria with the Corporate Affairs Commission under the Company and Allied Matters Acts 1999 as St Thomas-a-Beck Institute Incorporated in Abuja, with Government Authority to operate Academic Courses, Professional Programs and Educational Servicing Tertiary Institution for the Private Sector Economy in Africa.
